Animation – Vocational Studies The outgoing students participated in it for placement in companies looking for candidates in 2D/3D Animation, Graphic designing, Video Editing. Placement Drive March 9, 2018 3. Animation – Vocational Studies A digital poster making competition was organised for animation students on the topic ‘Smart City’. The students came up with various creative and novel ideas and presented them quite well on the Digital Canvas. The event was judged by Ms Parminder Cheema, Senior Faculty Sciences of KMV Jalandhar Digital Poster Making Competition November 1, 2017 4. Animation – Vocational Studies The students learned various concepts related to drawing and sketching using various medium like Pencil colours, Charcoal, Pen and Ink, Water Colours, and Poster colours etc. The workshop also covered concepts of light and shade, still life sketching, memory drawing, outdoor drawing and anatomy study of human figure and various factors that contribute the formation of a good sketch. A 10-day Workshop on Foundation Art Commenced on October 9, 2017 5. Animation – Vocational Studies On the occasion of Raksha – Bandhan, E-Rakhi competition was held for the students of B.Voc. Animation. As the students are studying the subject: Creative Design as part of their curriculum, this competition provided them an opportunity to show their creative side. The students took the challenge and came up with great Rakhi Designs. The Competition was judged by our respected Vice-Principal Seema Jain E-Rakhi Competition August 09, 2017 6. Animation – Vocational Studies A workshop on Portraiture – WACOM MASTER Class & Design was organised for the students of B.Voc. Animation. Mr Mayur Gurung from Wacom tablets demonstrated the used of WACOM designed tablets for modern digital portraiture making. The students who already were using these tablets, whole heartedly participated in the event and cleared their doubts regarding the various techniques used to make digital portraiture more realistic and lively. The students were awarded the certificates for the participation in the workshop.

7 Logo Making Competition September 13,2016 Students of Animation Course The students were given a chance to demonstrate their designing skills learnt so far in the course. The students of both Diploma and Advanced Diploma in Animation participated. Karampreet, Sukhmanpreet and Geetika were adjudged as winners.

9 5-Day Workshop on Foundation Art August 29, 2016 to Sept 02,2016 Mr. Dharmendra Singh from Evergreen Publication House The Students learnt how to create a character with personality. The facial expressions, body language of a character were the other areas covered with special emphasis. 10 A series of Workshops on Graphic Designing, 2D and 3D Animation( 10 hours a week) August 8, 2016 to October 31, 2016. 11 Workshop on 2D Animation and Storyboard Pro October 7-8, 2015 Mr. Gagan Sharma from Maya Academy of Advanced Cinematics(MAAC) The students learnt to conceptualize and develop a StoryBoard. On second day of workshop, 2D animations were developed by students incorporating key frames, frames and the character walk cycle with bone tool implementation was done in Adobe Flash. 12 Workshop on Photoshop October 5-6, 2015 Mr. Sandeep from DreamWeaversEdutrack Private Limited In the Photoshop session, the student got exposure to the various Photo editing and retouching techniques and how to make use of various tools and techniques like pen tool, masking, filtering, adjustment layers etc. 13 Workshop on Soft Skills October 3, 2015 Ms. Seema Arora KMV who has 20 years of teaching experience and 10 vast years of teaching the subject of communication skills In this session on Soft skills, the Students learnt various aspects of listening, reading and writing skills. The speaker also stressed on importance of listening and reading for a person to be good communicator. 14 Workshop on Illustrator October 1, 2015 Mr. Gagan Sharma from Maya Academy of Advanced Cinematics (MAAC) The areas of discussion in this workshop were various features, dimensions and practical components of Adobe Illustrator. | 6. | Animation – Vocational Studies | A workshop on Portraiture – WACOM MASTER Class & Design was organised for the students of B.Voc. Animation. Mr Mayur Gurung from Wacom tablets demonstrated the used of WACOM designed tablets for modern digital portraiture making. The students who already were using these tablets, whole heartedly participated in the event and cleared their doubts regarding the various techniques used to make digital portraiture more realistic and lively.
The students were awarded the certificates for the participation in the workshop.
